NH Referees Attend 2024 USASA Region 1 Tournament
USASA Region 1 held heir annual regional tournament on June 15 and 16 at the Ukrainian American Sports Center in Horsham, Pennsylvania. This tournament consists of the USASA Region 1 Cup Finals, U23 Tournament, and Women’s Championship. In the men’s competitions, the championships include:
- Amateur Cup
- Werner Fricker Cup, the Region Open Championship
- Gerhard Mengel Cup, the Over-30 Championship
- Region Over-40 Cup
- Region Over-50 Cup for the Giacomo Testani Trophy
Along with the five championships above, the Region holds two tournaments: the Women’s Championship, which qualifies the winner for the National Women’s Amateur Cup; and the Men Under-23 Tournament for the Gus Xikis Trophy.

Match Officials and Assignments
Referees that attend this event are recommended by their State Referee Committees’ and selected by the Region 1 Referee Administrator and Assignor. New Hampshire State Referee Committee’s Hannah Jaworski, Elena Dauphinais, and Kyle Averill were selected to attended this event as Match Officials. These three continued to show their professionalism and dedication to the sport by attending this event where the continued to learn and develop as referees.

These events are used to help develop the region’s soccer referees by offering training and coaching. Referees for the event attended a Field Training Session with National Referee Coaches on June 14 and received feedback from Referee Coaches and National Referee Coaches after every match. The NH SRC thanks all of the referee administrators, referee coaches, and USASA Region 1 Staff for making this event a valuable learning experience for our referees. Congratulations to these three officials on their assignments and their amazing performance at this year’s Region 1 event.
