New Hampshire Welcomes Two New US Soccer Regional Referees
The New Hampshire soccer community is celebrating a major achievement as William Jones and Kendra Santoro have officially met all requirements set by U.S. Soccer to be Regional Referees.

Both Jones and Santoro have built impressive résumés officiating at the youth and adult amateur levels, earning recognition for their consistency, professionalism, and passion for the game. Beyond their work on the field, they have also contributed in the classroom, supporting First Time Referee courses and lending their expertise to state tournaments.
Their promotion reflects a commitment to continuing education and a drive to grow within the referee ranks. The Regional Referee designation is a significant milestone, marking them as leaders in officiating and role models for aspiring referees across the state.
This accomplishment is a testament to their hard work and dedication. We look forward to seeing how Will and Kendra continue to elevate the standard of officiating in our community.
With this achievement, Jones and Santoro join a select group of referees entrusted with higher-level assignments, and their journeys are only just beginning.

Will began refereeing in 2018 in the Manchester, NH recreational leagues where he had once played. Since then, he advanced through youth levels into amateur adult competitions, including UPSL and USL 2. His experience includes officiating at the USYS National Championship Series in 2024 and 2025. In recognition of Will’s performance, he was honored as New Hampshire Youth Referee of the Year in 2021.
Kendra brings extensive experience to the field, having officiated at both US Youth Soccer and US Youth Futsal regional competitions. She proudly represented New Hampshire and the East Region at the USYS National Presidents Cup in 2022, and later at the USYF Nationals in 2024 and 2025.

Becoming a Regional Referee
Regional referees have an interest in refereeing regional and national adult competitions including NPSL, USL-2 and Lamar Hunt Open Cup. They will also officiate grassroots players (both youth and adult) working with other Grassroots, Regional and National Referees.

In order to become a Regional Referee, Referees need to meet certain standards set forth by U.S. Soccer. These standards are set to make sure that all Regional Referees perform at a similar level across the country.
