NH’s Santoro and Jones attend 2024 US Youth Futsal National Championships
The 2024 US Youth Futsal National Championships took place July 6 – July 9 in New Century, Kansas. The event featured Boys and Girls teams in the U09 through U19 age groups who competed for a national championship title. In addition to the team, futsal referees from all around the nation were selected to officiate the event.
The referees that attended the event as from the New Hampshire State Referee Committee are as follows:
- Kendra Santoro – Futsal Referee
- William Jones – Futsal Referee
Kendra Santoro was selected as R1 for the Girl’s U16/17 Semifinal and R1 for the Boy’s U09 Final.
William Jones was selected as R1 for the Boy’s U13 Final and R1 for the Girl’s U14 Final.
The Futsal National Championship Series is regarded as the highest-level of futsal play in the Nation, attracting top players, coaches, and scouts from coast to coast. We are proud of both of these officials who continue to dedicate their time to the sport and are continuously looking for opportunities to grow. While at the event, several of the world’s top current and former FIFA Futsal Referees and Futsal Instructors, as well as other Nationally recognized Futsal Referees attended to provide feedback to the invited futsal referees. The referees attending the US Youth Futsal National Championships we provided the opportunity to learn from some of the best officials in futsal. They participated in guided learning experiences, extensive instruction, mentoring, and assessments. Congratulations to both of these referees!
