NH Referees attend 2022 Eastern Regional Championships
The 2022 US Youth Soccer Eastern Regional Championships took place June 24 – June 30 in Charleston and Barboursville, West Virginia. The event featured Boys and Girls teams in the 12U through 19U age groups who competed for a regional championship. In addition to the team, referees from all members associations of the Eastern Region participate in the event as a way to develop their skills and hopefully earn the right to represent the Eastern Region at the US Youth Soccer National Championship Series in Orlando, Florida.
The New Hampshire State Referee Committee was proud to once again bring an experienced referee delegation to the event. The following individuals represented NH at this year’s event:
- Elena Dauphinais – Referee
- Kendra Santoro – Referee
- Kyle Averill – Referee
- William Bailey – Referee
- Matthew Ferguson – Referee
- Matthew Urrea – Referee
- Mark Sadler – SRA / Referee Coach
- John Breda – SDI / SDA / Referee Coach
- Steve Zoldak – Referee Mentor
In addition to these individuals, the Eastern Region invited the following referees back based on their performance at last year’s Eastern Regional Champions. These referees were:
- Tyler Vandeventor – Referee
- Hannah Jaworski – Referee
We would also like to thank Frank Scarito (SYRA) for his time and dedication to the Eastern Region as he serves on the East Region Referee Committee. Frank spends endless hours working to improve the referee committee here at home in NH as well as in the Eastern Region.
Lastly, we would like to congratulate Elena Dauphinais and Kyle Averill on their selection to represent the Eastern Region at the US Youth Soccer National Championship Series. This is one of the greatest honors as a youth soccer referee. Less than 1% of all youth soccer referees ever get the opportunity to officiate at the country’s most prestigious youth soccer event. Congratulations!
