New Process to complete Referee License Recertification for 2020

To:  NH Soccer Recertifying Referees

From:  NH State Referee Committee

Subject:  Process to complete Referee License Recertification for 2020

Date:  March 15, 2020

As you are hopefully aware, in-person classes have been canceled due to the on-going concerns over the COVID-19 virus. If you have signed up for any of the following:

  • An in-person recertification class that was canceled
  • Put your name on a waitlist for an in-person recertification class
  • Not yet registered for an in-person recertification class

The New Hampshire State Referee Committee has devised a plan for you to complete the registration process for 2020. This will allow you to referee going forward for the remainder of the 2020 registration year as the soccer world returns to normal.

We will be offering virtual “in-person” classes online through Zoom at designated dates and times. This will offer you an opportunity to still see the presentation, hear explanations for the law changes, and interact with an instructor to answer any questions you may have. Virtual sessions will be offered on the following dates and times:

  • Monday, March 30 @ 7 PM
  • Sunday, April 5 @ 8 AM
  • Tuesday, April 14 @ 7 PM
  • Saturday, April 18 @ 8 AM

To sign up for one of these sessions, please complete this form:

IMPORTANT NOTE:  This only signs you up for the virtual session.  You still must complete all of the Assignments in the Classroom of the US Soccer Learning Center.  While we are highly encouraging people to attend one of these virtual sessions, they will be optional.

To complete your registration and receive your referee license for 2020, please follow the instructions below depending on your circumstance:

If you have already registered for a course through the US Soccer Learning Center:

  • Finish all requirements within the current course for which you are registered.  To access the assignments, log onto the US Soccer Learning Center, click on “My Courses”, click on your course, click on “Go to Classroom”, click on the “Assignments” tab.  Everything in the assignments tab must be completed.
  • Once all online requirements are complete, you will receive your license.  You are able to start refereeing in 2020 once your license has been granted.
  • You will need to send a self-addressed stamped envelope to receive your badge per the instructions here (Don’t worry about the “Course Number”):
  • Note it may take longer than usual to receive your badge given the current situation. The SRC plans to have them mailed out by April 30th. As stated previously you are still able to referee without a current badge if your recertification requirements are completed.

If you have NOT yet registered for a course through the US Soccer Learning Center:

IMPORTANT NOTE: This course will not be visible nor accessible any other way than clicking the link above.

  • Complete all the online requirements as listed above.

We appreciate your flexibility, understanding, and patience as we manage this situation to find solutions that work for both US Soccer requirements, the good of the game, and the health and safety of all involved.  In dealing with this situation, we strongly recommend that you follow the advice, direction, and guidance of your local health department.  For more information on the current status across the country and measures you can take, go to:
